When I came on to Le Duff America, I wanted to build a really solid
really robust infrastructure. So mettel
was actually our incumbent provider and
they actually reached out to us and said hey,
we have a problem with one of your sites. The connectivity is really bad. We
would like to try our sd-wan solution in this location to prove
to the provider that it is actually really bad. I thought
that was fantastic. They were absolutely top Runners for
putting our new solution out there. We didn’t
stop at the SDWAN though. We we went and did redundant switches
in every location so that I can I can
survive a failure if a switch goes out. We also
have redundant Wi-Fi. So you always think you want
to put Wi-Fi out there and get coverage throughout the location where you
have good coverage. I didn’t do that. I put coverage out where
my critical areas recovered. And if I had an outage I
was able to get that I still had
the connectivity that I needed for my critical systems.
The pandemic did hit we were able to
reach out to mettel again and they implemented a
VPN for us very very quickly added a whole bunch of users. And
now people that I had that work remote were able
to work or more people that never work remote. I was able to have work remote
very easily.
